Complete trailer loads

A complete trailer load (also known as FTL) implies cargo that takes up the entire loading floor of a trailer. Or that, in terms of weight, cargo meets the maximum loading capacity of a trailer or the maximum weight permitted in the destination country, transit or departure. The types of trailers that our partners offer for this purpose include:

– 13.6 m Tautliners (curtain side rails without side walls)
– 13.6 m curtain sider (tarpaulin trailer with low side walls)
– 13.6 m box trailers (closed box trailer)
– 13.6 m refrigeration / thermo trailers (these can control + and – temperatures)
– 13.6 m mega-trailers (extra high trailer with 3 metres interior height)
– 13.6 m flatbed trailers (open loading floor, possibly with separate vertical stanchions)
– 13.6 m coil trailer (trailer floor is fitted with a coil gutter)
– 13.6 m sliding floor (thanks to a moving floor system, this trailer can load and unload itself)
– 13.6 m Joloda (modular roller bed trailer, for, e.g., paper rolls or aircraft pallets)

A 13.6-metre trailer has room for 33 Euro pallets (80 x 120) or 26 block pallets (100 x 120) on the floor.

General cargo, parcels and partial loads

Temperature-sensitive and perishable goods such as medicines, meat, fish, vegetables, fruit and ice, as well as industrial goods such as paint, chemicals and some automotive products, are transported in so-called refrigerated trailers or thermo trailers. This way, the temperature required by the client can also be guaranteed during transport.

Partial loads are loads that only occupy part of the loading floor. They are combined with other loads from our partners. We consider partial loads from approximately 2.5-meter loads to approximately 10-meters loads. As of 10 meters, it is generally more cost-effective to regard the shipment as FTL, shortening the lead time.

Conditioned transports

Temperature-sensitive and perishable goods such as medicines, meat, fish, vegetables, fruit and ice, as well as industrial goods such as paint, chemicals and some automotive products, are transported in so-called refrigerated trailers or thermo trailers. This way, the temperature required by the client can also be guaranteed during transport.

By using dual-temp trailers and partitions, a trailer can maintain two different temperatures during transport. Think of, for example, frozen meat and fresh vegetables for delivery on board cruise or cargo ships.

Express services

Sometimes, an urgent shipment cannot be transported in general cargo or groupage service. In that case, we always offer express service. We commonly deploy sprinters with a tarpaulin structure that can be at a loading location anywhere in Europe within two to three hours. These sprinters drive dedicatedly one-way with your goods to destinations all over Europe. The maximum load capacity of these sprinters is 1,100 kg, and they have a loading platform suitable for 11 Euro pallets.

If your shipment is larger than 11 Euro pallets or heavier than 1,100 kgs, we can always offer alternative options in the form of double-staffed trucks or so-called solo trucks. In that case, we are bound by the law for the driving and rest period, which may affect the delivery time.

Hazardous substances ADR

Dangerous substances require a separate transportation form and specific knowledge from your partner. All ADR classifications have their specific properties. For example, not all ADR goods can be loaded together in one truck. The vehicle transporting these goods must have ADR equipment and a driver who is ADR certified. Ask our specialists about the specifics of your cargo.

Long, wide and heavy transport

Some loads do not fit on a conventional truck due to their size or weight. These shipments require a special vehicle and specialised personnel. For example, we may need to explore a certain route first and apply for permits and exemptions. In some cases, transport can only take place at night and requires escort vehicles. Through our close cooperation with several exceptional transport specialists, we can find you the best transport mode and take the coordination of deadlines, permits and exemptions out of your hands completely.

Volume transports

When loads are too high for a conventional truck or particularly light goods such as Styrofoam, it is often wise to use a truck that can carry a larger volume. For such transports we offer three types of vehicles:

– 13.6 m mega-trailers (an extra high trailer with 3 metres interior height)
– 13.6 m open trailers with tarpaulins
– 15 m volume combinations (a truck with a trailer that usually has 3 metres interior height)

Projects

If you need a large number of trucks in a relatively short period of time, for example, to a construction site or to move stock from one warehouse to another, we can determine the need for trailers with you. After we have drawn up a thorough plan together, in terms of dates and times, all you need to do is load and unload the trucks, and we will take care of the rest!
